Robin believes in a service based, open door approach to governing, where everyone has a voice. He is proud to currently represent the hard working people of Chaska on the Carver County Board of Adjustment and Carver County Extension Committee. It's long past time for a new generation of leadership in local government.
About ROBIN
A Short Biography
After leaving home for the Navy at age 18, Robin has dedicated his life to public service. As a critical power engineer his work ethic and problem solving is unparalleled in the industry. Robin is a proud Eagle Scout, disabled US Navy veteran, and father of four. After a tragic house fire in 2017 Robin and his beautiful wife Megan have made a life here in Chaska, serving the people as vice-chair of the Carver County Board of Adjustment and as chair of the Carver County University of Minnesota Extension Committee. Megan serves on the Carver County Arts Committee.

On the issues:
What is your position on the CloudHQ Data Center?
I support a moratorium on new data center construction in Chaska. We need to know more about the long term effects of these data centers on our community before I could ever endorse moving forward.
Why are you running for City Council?
I feel like public service is a responsibility for me that continues even after leaving the Navy. I would be honored if my neighbors selected me to be their voice in our government, and I will never stop working to earn your support.
What type of Engineer are you?
I was a Navy Nuclear Electrician and after transitioning to civilian life I've continued my career in electrical power products. I believe in the scientific method and mathematics. It has given me a unique perspective in politics and government.
How do you feel about Police Survelliance Techniques?
Modern police surveillance technology like ALPRs (such as Flock cameras) and Cell-Site Simulators (such as Stingray) are infringements on our citizens' personal privacy and constitutional liberties. My top priority when taking office will be a ban on such techniques.
How can we support our local veterans?
I propose the creation of a Chaska Veterans Center where we can bring federal and state Veterans agencies together with local non-profits (like Revitalizing Veterans Dreams and Beyond the Yellow Ribbon) to provide our local veterans with all of the services they need and have earned. I want to make Chaska the top destination for separating military members and combat veterans.
